Privacy Policy

Information You Provide

Critter Grid does not require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, or payment information. If you contact Nodnarb Games for support or a privacy request, we may receive the information you choose to include in that communication.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store gameplay information on your device, such as level progress, coin balance, unlocked or selected critters, settings, and similar game state, to provide core game functionality. This local gameplay data remains on your device unless you clear the app's data, reset your progress, or uninstall the app.

Unity Analytics

Critter Grid may use Unity Analytics to understand how players use the game and to improve gameplay, balance, reliability, and player experience. When enabled, Unity Analytics may automatically process information such as an SDK-generated installation or user identifier, approximate location derived from network information, device and app information, platform, app version, session information, and usage events.

Critter Grid may also send limited gameplay events to Unity Analytics. Depending on the final production implementation, these events may include:

• The level being played;
• Level starts, completions, restarts, and loss or out-of-hearts states;
• Elapsed gameplay time for a level attempt;
• Use of optional rewarded-ad features and associated in-game rewards;
• Rewarded-ad impressions and successful rewarded-ad completions; and
• Limited technical context associated with those events, such as app version and platform.

These gameplay events do not intentionally include your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone data, camera data, or the contents of files on your device.

Information Processed Automatically

In addition to Analytics, the app may use Unity crash reporting. If the app crashes, technical diagnostic information may be sent to Unity and made available to Nodnarb Games, including crash logs, stack traces, app version, device model, operating system version, and other information needed to diagnose and fix app stability issues.

Critter Grid uses Unity LevelPlay to mediate banner and optional rewarded advertisements. Participating advertising providers currently include Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), Unity Ads, and ironSource Ads. The app also uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present and store privacy choices where required.

These services may automatically process information such as:

• Device and advertising identifiers, when permitted;
• IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address;
• Device model, language, operating system, app version, and network information;
• Ad requests, impressions, views, clicks, rewards, and other interactions with ads;
• SDK-generated user IDs or other personal identifiers used by advertising services;
• Consent choices and related privacy signals; and
• Crash, performance, fraud-prevention, and diagnostic information.

The information actually processed depends on your region, device settings, privacy choices, and the advertising provider that serves an ad. Nodnarb Games does not receive your name, email address, or precise location from these advertising services.

How We Use Information

Local gameplay information is used to save your progress and support core game features. Analytics and gameplay-event information, when collected, may be used to:

• Measure game usage, engagement, and player progression;
• Understand which levels players start, complete, restart, or struggle with;
• Evaluate level difficulty and identify confusing or frustrating gameplay patterns;
• Understand use of optional rewarded-ad features;
• Measure rewarded-ad completion in connection with gameplay rewards;
• Investigate gameplay problems and improve game balance and design; and
• Support, maintain, and improve Critter Grid.

Crash and diagnostic information is used to find, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and crashes. Advertising and device information may be used to:

• Request, deliver, and display advertisements;
• Personalize ads when you have permitted personalization;
• Deliver non-personalized, contextual, limited, or technical ads when applicable;
• Measure ad performance and apply frequency controls;
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• Provide optional in-game rewards after a rewarded ad; and
• Support and maintain the game.

Sharing Information

Information may be processed by Unity and its affiliated services, including Unity Analytics, Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource Ads, and participating advertising demand partners. Google may process information through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) as an advertising provider and through UMP for consent and privacy-message services. These companies process information under their own privacy policies and may act as service providers, processors, or independent controllers depending on the service and activity.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of players, Nodnarb Games, or others.

Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Nodnarb Games does not sell personal information for money. Advertising providers may use or disclose device and activity information to deliver or measure personalized advertising when permitted. Some privacy laws may define this activity as "selling," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged for the information.

Where required, you can opt out or change your choices through the privacy message displayed by the app or through the in-game privacy choices control, if available in the final release. You may also use your Android device's privacy and advertising controls to delete or reset the advertising ID and manage ad personalization settings.

Advertising and Privacy Choices

In regions where a privacy message is required, Google UMP presents the available choices before the app requests ads. You can revisit those choices through the in-game privacy choices control whenever that option is required and available.

Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily remove advertisements. Depending on your choices, region, and available advertising inventory, the app may continue showing non-personalized, contextual, limited, or technical ads. These ads may still use limited information for functions such as delivery, frequency controls, aggregate measurement, security, and fraud prevention. If applicable consent or another legal basis is unavailable, the app will not request ads.

Analytics and Privacy Choices

Unity Analytics, if enabled, is separate from advertising consent. A choice about personalized advertising does not automatically apply to Unity Analytics, and an Analytics choice does not automatically change your advertising choices.

Where applicable, Critter Grid will honor the Analytics consent or opt-out choices required by applicable law. You may also contact Nodnarb Games for assistance with applicable Analytics privacy or deletion requests. Unity provides mechanisms that allow applications using Unity Analytics to stop data collection and request deletion of Analytics data when appropriate.

Data Retention and Deletion

Gameplay progress stored on your device remains there until you delete the app, clear its data, or reset progress through device or app controls if available. Nodnarb Games retains support communications and information available through service dashboards only as long as reasonably necessary for support, analytics, security, legal compliance, debugging, improvement, and operation of the game. Unity, Google, and other service providers retain information according to their own policies and applicable law.

Critter Grid does not use player accounts. Analytics data, when collected, is generally associated with SDK-generated identifiers rather than an account that you create with Nodnarb Games. Depending on the request and information available, Nodnarb Games may not be able to independently identify a particular person in third-party service data.

You may contact us for assistance identifying privacy and deletion options that apply to information reasonably associated with your request. Where supported and applicable, Analytics data collection can be stopped and an Analytics data-deletion request can be initiated through Unity's provided mechanisms. For data controlled independently by an advertising or other third-party provider, you may also need to use that provider's own privacy controls or request mechanism using the links above.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information handled by the app. Information transmitted to service providers is sent over secure connections where supported. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

International Processing

Unity, Google, and their advertising partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. The providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Critter Grid is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law, and Nodnarb Games does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or certain Analytics processing. You may exercise available in-app privacy choices as described above or contact Nodnarb Games. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
